I was born and raised in Northern California where I attended California State University, Chico. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology: Cellular and Molecular and continued into graduate school at CSU Chico where I am currently studying two-component regulator pathway associated with manganese oxidation. I want to pursuit a PhD program where I can further investigate bacterial genetics.

I enjoy fishing and hiking and below are some pictures that shows more about me.

FAMILY HISTORY
Hmong
My family are refugees from the Vietnam War. They lost their homes and families due to a genocide. Once they got into refugee camps in Thailand, they had a handful of rice a day and if they are lucky then they got some salt. After 12 years they arrive to the United States where they were able to have more freedom.
